I have to begin by saying that my amazing cousins prompted me to attempt a journal on the Internet. Every once in a while, I would read their blogs, and say to myself Wow I have amazing, and talented cousins. They don't know they have impressed me so much, but they have! So here I go let the MIRACLE begin! I am going to attempt to write my thoughts and the Brailsford happenings on the Internet or The Brailsford Blog. I do have to say that I am no English Scholar, so please disregard any errors in punctuation, and or any errors in English grammar.
Our first Miracle happened about 20 years ago when I first met my fabulous husband. I wouldn't have met him if it wasn't for a very persistent friend (thanks Shana). I was working at Crestview Care Center, a nursing home in Provo as a CNA. We were having some kind of carnival at work that day which included a dunk tank. I along with my friend Shana got into the dunk tank, and of course got dunked, so we were soaked. We went into our work place and found the room with all the extra clothes. Clothes from past residents, lost and found etc. Well we each took off our wet clothes, and put on a very stylish duster, and we both agreed that we would go to our homes and change clothes. Well I lived in Spring Lake at the time, and so we had to pass through Payson to get there. My friend said, " I have a friend I want to stop by and say hi to before we change clothes. Is that ok?" I said ok assuming it was a girl. I waited in the car so she could say hi. I didn't want anyone seeing me. I looked like a wet rat. She goes to the door and knocks......When Kent came out my heart sank right into my stomach. I knew this BOY( not girl). I knew him from high school, and to tell you the truth I was a bit out of my comfort zone. Shana had a knack at doing that though she did it a lot! I wouldn't have traded those moments for anything though. Shana was and is an amazing friend. We had some good times. Needless to say Kent and I married eight and a half years later in my mothers beautiful back yard. Ten years into our marriage we were sealed in the Manti temple for time and all eternity with our four beautiful children.
